Becker's: Dr. Herman Williams Named CMO to Know

Nashville General Hospital (NGH), a national leading public safety-net hospital, announced today that Dr. Herman Williams, MD and Chief Medical Officer of NGH, was named a “Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Nashville General Hospital (NGH), a national leading public safety-net hospital, announced today that Dr. Herman Williams, MD and Chief Medical Officer of NGH, was named a “Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Dr. Williams was one of only 130 CMOs across the country chosen for this very prestigious award. The honor was celebrated by Becker’s with the following accolades:

 

“Herman Williams, MD. CMO of Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital. Dr. Williams serves as CMO for Nashville General Hospital. He has more than 10 years of healthcare consulting and 18 years of hospital operations experience as a physician executive with both for profit and nonprofit healthcare organizations. Dr. Williams focuses on efficiency and meeting compliance and regulatory standards. He is also an accomplished author and serves on the American Heart Association board.

 

Dr. Williams’ vast healthcare experience includes 10 years of previous healthcare consulting and 18 years of hospital operations as a senior physician executive. Dr. Williams’ operational roles include oversight of Rural, Urban, Small and Complex facilities as well as Academic, Community, For Profit, and Non-Profit healthcare organizations. In 2022, he was named Chief Medical Officer for Nashville General Hospital and currently serves as President of the Middle Tennessee American Heart Association.
